The obvious target of anti-consumerism is advertising and fashion who persuade us to buy new products, to stay in fashion. The role of photographer in consumerism is to de- pict those products as desirable. In fashion, for example, there is a whole range of light modifiers which create certain look and enhance model’s beauty. I took the garbage, which was the product of my own consumption in one week. I photographed it in a studio, week after week, with light modifier “beauty dish” used in fashion and beauty photography, trying to make my “product” as desirable as possible.
