Similar concealing and revealing is at work in “Under Cover of Darkness”, which exposes darkness as the nothing of photography. This nothing is to be understood as zero in mathematics or the concept of vacuum in physics, an element which is invisible, yet of paramount importance for the respective field. The resulting image covers the original and uncovers the nothing.
